Three Places to visit in Jacksonville
The Florida Theatre– This theatre is historic movie theater. It opened in 1927 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The theater is built in a Mediterranean Revival architectural style. In 1956, Elvis played two shows here. Now, the theater is home to the Florida ballet and Theatreworks. The theater also plays movies, pop, rock, country, opera, and blues shows. Around 200 events happen annually in this theater. The theater is located at 128 E Forsyth St, Jacksonville, Fl.
St. Johns Town Center – Like to dine and shop? You’ll have to head to this outdoor lifestyle mall. It has 150 stores such as Apple, Tiffany & Co., Louis Vuitton, and Dillard’s. For food, you have a little of everything from The Capital Grille to the Cheesecake Factory. The area also has a life-size chess board, a dog park, and a turtle pond. This is a great place to spend the day, go on a shopping spree, meet friends, or have a date night! The town center is located at 4663 River City Dr, Jacksonville, FL.
Riverside Arts Market – Every Saturday, rain or shine, small, local businesses set up shop to sell their artworks, bake goods, products, produce, and more! This is a great opportunity to support local Florida farmers, artists, and makers. There is usually live music or performances during the market, as well. It’s a fun place to walk through. The market is held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. the market is located at 715 Riverside Ave., Jacksonville, Fl.
