Places to Visit in Jacksonville
Alhambra Theatre & Dining – The Alhambra Theatre is the country’s oldest operating professional dinner theater. It opened in 1967. It’s also the only professional theatre between Atlanta and Miami! In this theater, visitors get to watch wonderful performances while eating delicious food. Plays and musicals performed have included: “Kiss Me, Kate,” “Elf,” and “1776: A Musical Revolution.” Ticket prices start at $38. The theatre is located at 12000 Beach Blvd.
Adventure Landing – Adventure Landing is an amusement park with one location in the city and one in Jacksonville Beach. In the park, there is miniature gold, go-karts, laser tag and an arcade. The park is open Sunday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to midnight. Prices vary depending on attraction.
Food Trucks – Jacksonville is becoming a hub for good food attracting renowned chefs. There aren’t only restaurants in this city, but 100 food trucks. Food truck selections include: Salty Dog, Funkadelic Food Truck, Mother Truckin’ Pizza, Caribbean Sunrise, Big Island Bowls, Island Dream Food Truck, Twisted T’s Waffles & Things, and Mr. Potato Spread.
